APARTMENT TYPES

Ilam Apartments is a self-catered Hall of Residence which is made up of 174 apartments.  Applications are carefully looked at when making placements within each apartment, taking into account age, course and stage of study, personal interests, gender and nationality. 

Apartment Choices (42 week contract)

There are currently three types of flats which house 2 - 6 residents.  They are very similar in style however the Manuka, apartments were built in the 1970's and the Kowhai apartments were built in 2000. The first stage of Hinau, our most recently built apartments opened in the second semester of 2007. The second stage of Hinau opened for students at the beginning of 2008. Hinau has a great mix of apartment sizes, ranging from 2 bedrooms through to 5 bedrooms.

All of Manuka, Kowhai and the 2, 3, 4, and 5 bedroom Hinau apartments are on 42 week contracts.

Linen is not provided however linen packs are available for purchase on arrival.
