EATING

Ilam Apartments is self catered so no food is provided, however there is the opportunity to have a meal plan or casual meals at our sister hall, Uni Hall, which is only 5 minutes away. 

We are also within a few minutes walk from many ethnic and good old Kiwi restaurants and fast food outlets.  With the possibility of living alongside other nationalities you can experience food from all over the world and it won't cost you a cent!

 

STUDYING

Each bedroom has its own large desk, data and all apartments have a phone.

Studying in your room is an option preferred by most.  There are common areas where larger groups can study together if they wish. 

There is also a computer suite which offers emailing, internet and printing and it is connected to the University intranet and is run like a university computer lab. 

We are also very close to UC and are on a safe walking route for those who wish to study in the library at night. Formal tutorials are not provided, however Uni Hall offers many different tutorials and is driven by demand.  You need to make contact with the Community Manager to organise this directly.  There are also many post graduate or senior students living at the Ilam Apartments so you will never be short of a helping hand.
