VILLAGE FACILITIES

Ilam Apartments is made up of 174 apartments - 24 of which were built in the 1970's (Manuka), a further 32 were completed in 2000 (Kowhai) and the newest apartments in Hinau are now completed and ready for new residents in January 2008. Hinau has 116 apartments spread over 16 buildings.

All apartments are situated within an easy few minutes walk to all University departments and within easy walking distance of a good variety of bus stops, shops, cafes, bars and banks. 
Christchurch city is only 7 kilometres away which can be easily walked through the beautiful Hagley Park or a bus can be taken literally from our doorstep. 

Both Manuka and Kowhai have 6 bedroom apartments, while Hinau has a variety of styles and configurations from 2 bedroom to 5 bedroom apartments.

Ilam Apartments has two common rooms which you have access to 24/7.  They house sky TV, Video, DVD, projector onto large screen, comfy couches, study areas, computer suite, pool and table tennis tables plus table soccer and air hockey tables.  These rooms can be used by individuals or community groups.

recycling stations have been placed all around the village. Use the recycling stations in the correct way to make a difference mand to reduce your carbon footprint.
