ilam apartments
Ilam Apartments is a modern apartment-style complex that offers independent living on campus for first-year through to postgraduate students from throughout New Zealand and the world. Our secure, fully equipped, modern apartments, situated on campus next to the Ilam Gardens, offer a great community of like-minded students just five minutes’ walk from lecture theatres and other campus facilities.
There is a range of apartment styles available, from the refurbished Three Star Plus Manuka apartments through to the ultra-modern Four Star Plus Hinau. Rooms in two to six bedroom apartments are available. Each apartment is fitted with a security card system and each bedroom has its own key.
university hall
University Hall offers a supportive and fun environment that is ideal if you are in the first year of your studies. With up to 550 residents at any one time, you are bound to meet other residents who are studying the same courses as you, or have similar interests be it sport, cultural activities or computer gaming.
University Hall is a social environment that hosts many sports groups, clubs and events. University Hall borders the Ilam Fields, perfect for cricket or rugby get-togethers and studying with friends in the sun. There are several room types at University Hall to cater different requirements and budgets.
sonoda
Small and friendly, with only up to 110 residents at any one time, Sonoda Christchurch Campus is a hidden treasure. The modern accommodation facilities and beautiful Japanese-inspired landscaped grounds offer a peaceful atmosphere in which students can live and study. Sonoda is well suited to students of all ages and disciplines.
Each building at has four apartments and there are five rooms in each apartment. Depending on demand at least one building is alcohol-free and/or single-sex. There are also one bedroom flats, ideal for postgraduate students (availablility is very limited).
